Living internationally can be enriching and meaningful, and it can also place sustained demands on the nervous system.

Many expats, internationals, and globally mobile professionals come to therapy not because something is “wrong”, but because they feel stretched, unsettled, or exhausted in ways that don’t resolve with time off or practical adjustments alone.

If you’re living abroad, moving frequently, or working remotely across borders, you may recognise the experience of functioning well on the surface while feeling internally tense, disconnected, or depleted.

When Life Looks Fine, But Your System Doesn’t Feel Settled

International life often requires a high degree of adaptability. Over time, this can shape the nervous system in subtle ways.

People I work with often describe:

  • ongoing stress or low-level anxiety

  • difficulty fully resting or switching off

  • emotional reactivity or shutdown

  • a sense of not quite belonging anywhere

  • carrying responsibility without much support

  • feeling “fine” but not well

These experiences are not personal failures. They are often signs of a nervous system that has been under sustained pressure.

A Body-Based Approach That Works Online

I offer one-to-one online somatic therapy grounded in Somatic Experiencing®, a gentle, trauma-informed approach to nervous system regulation.

This work supports the body and nervous system directly, rather than relying solely on talking or insight. Sessions focus on present-moment sensations, internal resources, and careful pacing to support stability and resilience over time.

You don’t need to relive past experiences or explain your entire history. The focus is on helping your system respond differently now, particularly useful when stress and adaptation have been ongoing rather than linked to a single event.

Online sessions work well for internationally mobile clients, as they allow continuity of support regardless of location. Particular attention is given to safety, pacing, and your environment during sessions.

What Makes My Approach Unique:

  • Body-Based & Soul-Aware: I blend somatic awareness, trauma-informed care, and depth psychology to support lasting transformation—not just symptom relief.

  • Culturally Sensitive: As someone deeply attuned to the expat experience, I create a safe space for navigating cultural displacement, identity shifts, homesickness, and more.

  • Remote: Whether you're in transition, on the go, or settled in a new home, our sessions meet you where you are—literally and emotionally.

  • Anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm

  • Life transitions and cross-cultural identity shifts

  • Childhood trauma or relational wounding

  • Feeling “stuck” or disconnected from purpose
